강화하점면 오층석탑 보물 제10호 Five-story Stone Pagoda in Hejeom-myeon of Ganghwa
봉은사지 5층석탑이라고도 불린다. 봉은사는 개성에 있던 고려시대의 국가사찰로 고종19년(1232)에 수도를 강화도로 옮길 때 함께 옮겨졌다. 발견당시 주변에 흩어져 있던 석재를 1960년에 지금의 모습으로 다시 세웠다. 3층 이상의 몸돌과 5층의 지붕돌, 상륜부가 유실되었으며 현재 남아 있는 부분의 높이는 3.5m 이다. 만든 수법으로 보아 고려후기의 것으로 추정된다.
Also referred to as the "Five-story Stone Pagoda at the Bongeunsa Temple site", this stone monument was moved to it's current location when Goryeo moved it's capital along with the state temple form Gaeseong to Ganghwado in 1232, the 19th year of Kong Gojong's reign. The pagoda was in complete disrepair until 1960. when people rebuilt it using stones collected the surrounding ruins. Missing parts include the body stones of the third to fifth stories, the roof stone of the fifth story, ant the final. The remaining structure, 3.5 meters high, is a case study in the style of late Goryeo period pagodas. [현지설명]
